brake and clutch fluid
« on: Nov 9, 2003, 03:46AM »
hey all,

i was just checking all of my fluid levels and noticed the clutch fluid is a little too low for comfort anyway ::: i read on the cap of the clutch fluid reservoir to only put in DOT 3 clutch fluid,, but in the owners manual it says to use DOT 4 for both clutch and brake fluid..  so what do i use to top up the clutch fluid?? DOT 3 or 4??

thanks,
jimmy

Use Dot 4 as it has a higher oiling piont then dot 3 but you will have to bleed the clutch incase it has dot 3 because mixing them is not a good idea as i can dremacticly reduce the boiling point .
