I don't know much about fuel management, injectors, pumps etc, I was more thinking it would e too big and flood, or does it only pump through what the computer tells it to ?

The fuel pressure regulator is what controls how much flows through the fuel rail. The excess gets sent back through the return line back to the tank. Having a higher flowing pump won't benefit you in terms of gains, however if you up the hp then you'll know your safe fuel wise.

fuel delivery is controlled by the injectors and the fuel pressure regulator. the unused fuel is returned to the tank
