Fooly Sick Air Intake yo!
« on: Dec 19, 2010, 06:54PM »
So today i decided to install my stage 3 ecu along with the maxima afm its tuned to. Anyway due to lack of cash untill payday at the moment it has no form of filter at all nor a good piping setup.

Here is the maxima afm before installation.

and yes guys, that is a stocking over the end, like i said i have to money till payday so having the mesh thats already inside the afm along with the stocking shall be my filterade for now :P

So to connect it all i have the 3inch adaptor as seen in the above picture and clamped it to my original 2inch tubing, zip tied the afm to some other thingy, the distributor rotor i think, to stop it from moving when driving, rewired the afm plugs and zip tied the original air box sensor to the front of the afm under the stocking.

its just gonna be like this untill i get my pod adaptor and pod next week along with my stainless piping :)

like they say, nothing beats a home job :P

I dunno, alot better airflow and what ever the stage 3 ecu gives me, it won't be much but you can feel the difference.

it is possible to fit those to the stock airbox with a bit of mods (drill and some small bolts). at least theres no rush to get defected and no rush to get a pod.

the vg30e air box lid will fit straight onto the ka24e airbox bottom. so change that over and theres no need for modifications.
