short power drop at high rpm??
« on: Jul 15, 2007, 04:44PM »
Hey guys i just got my distributor and coil replaced as it died. and ive noticed. when i go to gun it...randomly at about 4-5krpm ..i get like a total drop out of power and it kicks in again..like ive taken my foot off the accelerator for 2 seconds and slammed it back on...i know taking her out to 4-5kpm isnt advisable ..but i was gunning it to overtake a truck before the lane ran out =/ ..and i tested it a few more tims and it happened like 40% of the time...Is this missfiring at all? i dont know much about cars. but it never did it before, and i know we pulled the leads out a few times and fiddled with the fuel line to check if it was getting enough petrol when we were waiting for the mechanic to find the problem ...

i know my discription is horrid but its the best i can do with no knowledge of car mechanics lol..
