Nissan parcel shelf brake light
« on: Dec 16, 2007, 05:20PM »
So yeah... got bored the other day and this is an idea I've had for a while. So i finally got off my ass and did it.

Got the nissan font off the net. Printed it. Glued it to some contact. Stuck it on the light. Then used a scalpel to cut out all the bits. Peeled off the background. Sprayed over with Nightshade a few times. And then peeled off the remaining contact (ie the letters) - Voila!

Check it out:

P.S. Looks better at night, though I'm really happy that it shows up in daylight aswell.
My car history:
'88 Toyota Camry - Engine Died
'85 Toyota Corona - Engine Died
'82 Nissan Bluebird - Write Off
'88 Toyota Camry (same one as before) - Trans Died
'94 Nissan Bluebird LX - SOLD
'88 Toyota Hilux - Handed over to dad and now residing in Perth
'84 Nissan R30 Skyline - SOLD
'99 Nissan Stagea RS4-S - SOLD

Current rides:
'99 Mazda FD RX7 - Lots of fun, but currently up for sale
'95 Nissan Bluebird LX - Current sedate daily
'85 Suzuki GSXR250 - Motorbikes are fun! :)

i don't mean to be an ADR nazi, but unless it says STOP it's illegal.

Rotten sod copper told me to take my Superroo sticker off the brake light, even though it was white and the brake light could be clearly seen through it.
I'm so far behind at work, I'm almost retro!

According to Qld's Traffic Operations: Vehicle Standards and Safety act the brake light has to be red and visible from 30m to the rear of the vehicle. It doesn't say anything about the shape of the light.
