Compliance Plate
« on: Dec 20, 2012, 12:26PM »
My HNU13 has a green vehicle manufactured plate while my RNU12 has a blue import compliance plate. My question is does the green plate (as shown below) mean that the car is considered a custom built vehicle and is therefore allowed to be modified more than the RNU12? I need to get a RWC for the car and hoping this might be a loophole so I can leave the car as low as it is.

um no, mine has the same green plate but is a Nissan Perilux U13 1992, it has to fully comply to all the standard rules , there will be a minimum height that you can lower the car too, in Victoria its 110mm at its lowest point that can be exhaust suspension or whatever hangs down under the car.

hmm damn.

Just checked the height and it's borderline. Will have to make sure the tyres are pumped up for the inspection.
