1990 Nissan Pintara TRX and 0 offset wheels
« on: Feb 1, 2014, 01:22PM »
Hey,

I am looking at buying some wheels for my pintara which are 14" 4x114.3 185/75/14 and 0 offset. Will these wheels fit my car all right and not have any scrubbing? The reason I am buying new wheels is because I have 18" wheels on them now and the offset if to high so I am only using like 4 or 5cm of my rear tyres and they wear down pretty quickly.

Thanks in advance,

Matt.

What offset are the current wheels?

0 offset is a bit too far for a pintara. if they are a 6" wide rim the edge of the rim will come to the outside edge of the flaring (not including tyre which will stick out further). the stock pintara rims are around the +45-49 offset. it will also put extra strain on the hubs as the wheel base will be wider and the leverage force will be further out.

If your tyres are only waring only on the inside or only on the outside the camber is wrong for the wheels, what you could do is go to a wrecker and get a second rear adjustable parallel link to replace the front solid parallel link to gain camber adjustment.
