There is a few old school ways. Put blocks under the car, set to the desired height and proceed to heat each spring with an oxy till she drops to the blocks.

ummmmmmmmmm...........i can not post that.

The above post is purely fictional and can not work. The veiws of this person are not endorsed by the forum and any similarities to above proceedure are done so at readers risk.

There that fixed it.   And yeah....just get some lowered springs.

I read on autospeed.com that you can go to a place that will effectively remake your springs to your specs. lowered to 25mm or something. and a full set will set you back half the price of aftermarket springs and you don't get that stiff ride.
nothing.

If you want to be that cheap... just cut the springs... what's the issue?

get stock springs from an exa at the wrecker. (say $50)
Proper lowered springs really arent that expensive, definately the safest bet.

well there are a few things to look at..

- cutting springs is illegal and dangerous
- oxy torching springs is illegal and even more dangerous
- even having your springs modified at a shop is illegal

springs:

spring compressor is about $30

you and a mate could change them all in probably 4hrs even if you've never done it before.
