Indicators red would confuse me. Red means warning in my head. Otherwise go for it! ;D

Its a 30 dollar mod that can be done in an hour or so, provided u already have the cluster out, and is there anyway to get different needles?

Haha, thats what I thought, but I also need to source a new cog that sits on the back of the set (the one that sits into the motor thing) as its absolutely rooted

How many teeth are on it? given the size you might be able to go down to Jaycar and see if they have matching cogs, or even an RC hobbyist. If you get the specs (diam + teeth + width) i'm sure there's some places out there that can help

Diameter = the distance from the center of the circle multiplied by 2.

Width = the 'height' of the cog when laying flat. ;)

Calling it length, or height didn't feel right. :P Thickness would've been a better word probably. Jaycar do sell a lot of "DIY electric RC cars" n shit, you might have luck with them. If not, a hobbyist joint will probs have it.

Ok I sorted out my odometer cogs, 129 900ks atm no idea of exact figure because it didnt work when I got it :D and dash mods looks pretty cool cause the red transfers across into the blue making the guages transition from blue to purple to red but id like to be able to "widen" the beam somehow on the leds because they focus in on one area mostly, also now my temp guage and actual speedometer dont work, havent had time to troubleshoot tho I cbf atm

If you don't mind a bit of attenuation, use some perspex infront of the LED. Or I guess wrapping some sticky tape would produce a similarish effect. Or if you want it all crazy just coat the LED in blacktop (the stuff the use on the end of car bulbs) so that no light shines, get a razor blade (very fine), and creat a tiny slit all the way around. Needs to be straight though. That'll widen the crap out of it. For added effect, instead of blacktop, dip it in chrome or something. That'll reflect the light.

ORRRR... just use an SMLED. ::) <--- the easiest alternative, I just happened to think of it last. SMLEDs have a very wide field.

semiconductor-based LEDS also have a beam of light that's "wide" in one direction only? They just create more heat
