u13 attesa boost cut
« on: Jul 3, 2016, 12:10PM »
hey guys, i just got my hands on a attesa u13. the previous owner had the boost control set to 15psi, as far as i can tell its a standard ecu and injectors.. wouldnt 15psi be abit much for it... considering it has a t25 on it ive turned it back down to 12psi. but as the title states, i was wondering if they have a factory boost cut.. any info would be very helpfull.

Yes they do have a factory boost cut but It's more to do with the amount of air flowing through the MAF than the boost pressure. The ecu doesn't directly sense boost, it's an algorithm that uses a few inputs to control the injectors duration and spark. Too much boost will cause excess airflow and a lean condition,  to protect the engine the ecu cuts fuel. This usually happens around 15psi.

What car did you get and where from. There's not a lot of them around, someone may know the car

I would invest in a wideband to monitor air / fuel ratios.
the words "race car" spelled backward still spell "race car"?
