Uhh... diesels don't have carbies... or ignition systems, which is advantageous where there's a chance of the engine getting wet. ;)

Gotta love Diesels. If all the engine breathers etc are sealed up properly, they will run fully submerged so long as the air intake is above the water.
Didn't look like a Jeep to me though. Looks like a 40 series Landcruiser.
