splits front & back?
« on: May 5, 2003, 12:59AM »
has anyone run splits front & back? is it worth it or is it a waste of time? only reason i'm asking is because i found a very good deal on some splits and i've already got some kicker 6" numbers

Yeah i tried that in my old comp car - Very precise and clear imaging in the rear for passengers but out of all honesty you won`t really hear the higher end if your also running subs at loud volumes.

If running moderate volumes the clarity has to be heard to be believed

Just don`t scimp out on splis that you put in there
you`ll need some powerful items to do the job properly

MB quart yep....but too expensive!
I like focal for the price....I am running PPI though, which go alright too.

If full comp system, I'd think of running splits back and front, but not if it was only for your own use...a waste of money otherwise IMHO. But it might be worth upgrading your front splits if you get a great deal on some new better quality splits. then decide if what u have in the rear is better or worse than the kickers  u couldput in the back for what u want (rear fill).

I've got 6.5" splits all round. I get quite clear, high fidelity sound. Obviously though when you've got Sony xplod there's gonna be a little distortion ;)

well boys & girls, i just bought the mb quart speakers. even though they are last years model, they havent been used ever. so i happily bought them & saved myself $500  ;D

turns out the guy selling didnt even know they were expensive speakers commonly used in audio comps.
