6X9's in the back

What is the best way to install 6x9's in the back of the pintara with out cutting(cause i dont want to cut).

mdf board? how good are speaker extenders?

I got JB to make me a parcel shelf - I am certain they didnt cut any metal. I think its 1inch MDF, carpeted.

Mine are actually 7X10's.

If you are talking about plastic extenders - you may get some rattle / vibration from them.

ok thanks ...thats sorta the way i was going to go ..but with a thiner piece of mdf board to that ....although hearing that, i might need it to be a little thicker.

yes definately mount into mdf as it absorbs the sound plastic rattles a horrible noise

what these guys are all saying, mount into mdf..

i just re did my paercel shelf about 2 days ago.

made it out of 12mm mdf and carpeted it (i used the old parcel shelf as a template).. mounted my 6" into them..

if you gonna put 6x9's in, use 12mm(easier to install) and then baffel up around the speaker holes so they fit.
