Its better to have to much power from the amp being bridged then just using a single 150wrms is it?

In the bridged mode, the sub see's a mono signal which is better. However it will be recieving 200wrms higher than its *recommended* constant. Its better that the amps more powerful than the sub so it doesnt need to work as hard to drive it.

Adjust the gains and the freq setting until you get a good sound from your setup and it should be all sweet   (Remember, its not volume that will kill the sub, its distortion!)

Good luck!

Hes refering to SPL (Sound pressure level) [or loudness] or sound quality.

Out of those 2 subs, i'd be more inclined to go for the fusion. Thats just me tho

You could pick up a Type-S for around $170ea or better still type-R for $3-400
The fusions arent bad, not fantastic for SQ, but not too bad with SPL when tuned properly.
Phoenix Golds octane-r's arent bad either in that price range, clarion V-Nets...
just have a look around, I think MTX's are overpriced for the competition thats available.

The Alipne R's are coming down in price hell!
becasue of the new model coming out soon.
Fusion subs are all being slashed also because the new model has come in. The new model is 10 times better (not really)!

Dont even bother with the AVALANCHE or BOSS stuff!
It might seem like its cheap and the specs are all cool but they pish out no were near as much as the other brands and definatly wont last as long as other subs/amps (especially AMPS)
, mind you Amps will last if they are not pushed very hard!!! :P

Good choice! I'm running the Type R's little brother (Type S) and I'm more than satisfied with that, so I imagine the Type R must be kickass!
