the fastest antrx.com member cars
« on: May 10, 2003, 03:13PM »

With the current interest in the performance of members cars, it seems time to make a list of the top 10.

What we will need is either a scanned dyno graph or your ¼ mile time, with the mph. These have to be actual times down a ¼ mile track, so G-Tech or similar will not be counted.

Please supply us with a description of the year, model, and short description of modifications to the car, and the shop/track where you did your runs.

This is only for antrx.com members and has to be your own current car as we dont want to hear from people that say "my mates pinny does an 14 sec ¼ mile with just a pod & sports exhaust"

This thread is here just for peoples car details so any general chat will be removed. cheers

Any guesses of what your TRX's might be making down the 1/4???
SSSTRX only did a 14.3 with the sr20det conversion and 182kw at the wheels!!! Thought it would have gone a bit better (no offense)

With round 90kw at the wheels more than us, does that mean we will be lucky to pull, what a 16????

Car test says I could do in the range of 13.6 - 13.9 secs, I am thinking 13.9 is achieveable [stock is around 14.1 - 14.2 on my car].

Mitza: you sure that sr20det is making 182 @ the wheels? If it is then it should be doing much better than a low 14, I am guessing there are traction issues big time! Having the same power as mine in a car that would be nearly 200Kgs lighter, a low 13 surely isnt out of the question? Or is it?

Thats why you buy an r34 - comes with Traction Control as standard  :P

A trx with a turbo is probably worse off in terms of traction imo, than an r33 etc...

anything modified "that much" beyond stock will run into trouble sooner or later, brakes, clutch, handling, etc...inc. traction...

that`s where SERIOUS mods start to come in

ABS off import combined with the MoTec standard traction control feature will put a end to it  8)

I'm guessing my car is somewhere in the range of 160-170kw at the fly (110-120kw at all 4 wheels going on other club car dyno runs). Stock is 155kw at fly, add a bit for exhaust system (approx 13-15kw dyno tested during design by shop) and intake. Might not be the most powerfull car around...but damn it grips!
Even so.....there are plans for aftermarket engine management system in the pipeline (take it to 210kw at the fly)....@ approx $2000....this will happen after I get the stereo sorted!
MY98 WRX...work in progress: 3 inch SS turbo back exhaust, high-flow cat, K&N air filter, SPS silicone Y pipe kit, TMIC tilt mod & waterspray @ 8psi, scoop splitter, meshed MY99/00 frontbar + full colorcoding, clear indicators front/side, blue badge; Formula Ferodo TS2000 brake pads, Whiteline 22mm adustable rear swaybar with HD gold links, front strut brace; stereo consisting of Alpine, MB Quart, Eclipse & Rockford Fosgate components + IPOD dock...Next month LINK ECU & more boost (previous ride modded 1989 Pintara T)

well its now 99.2 at the wheels. reason its 3 inch " i know its not getting enogu hbakc pressure atm) is cause when it goes turbo a 3 inch system is perfect. thought why not save my money and get a good 3 inch system then going 2.5 then needed a enw exhaust when i got turbo.

all i know is that stock bluebird does about high 16s, if you get a good launch, other than that, low 17s, if lucky, or mid 17s.

i always thought the u13's were a bit quicker than the u12's though.
something like 0-100 of 8.6sec compared to 0-100 of 8.9sec.

and stock trx's run mid to high 16's stock, so i would think a u13 (manual of course) would run a low to mid 16  ???
2.0L 4 -------> 3.0L 6. Does this mean a 4.0L 8 next?? or back to a 2.0L......turbo!

I got a 14.6 with an untuned CA18DET Onevia. Running 13psi going just over 150km/h as i crossed the finishing line.

Going to tune it soon and i will be hoping for a mid to low 13 pass.

It was also my first time ever at the drags, and i ran on 17's which i didnt even deflate, coilovers which are setup for drift and i didnt want to do a burnout before the race so my tyres were kinda wet. (Valid Excuses!)
