Not exactly, one side is +12V, the other side goes to the ECU which pulses the solenoid dependant on the output of the EGO sensor and coolant temp.

I'm guessing you've got an idle problem?  If so, have you bothered to have a look at your Idle air adjusting (IAA) unit (thats the thingy that the AAC is mounted on, the AAC valve operates it)  If your AAC was dirty/clogged up then there's a mighty high chance that your IAA is going to be the same, and if that is the case it wont matter if your AAC is working or not.

Apart from being dirty it could also have a worn out spring inside it, you can adjust it but that  might not solve the problem if it's totally buggered.

OK - The AAC valve actuaor resistance should be 10K Ohm, as measured across the terminals, and the plunger should move freely.  You can test this more thoroughly with a CONSULT box, but I'm guessing you don't have one :)

There are a bunch of procedures in the FSM regarding idling and starting problems as well.

SEARCH, noss and others go to alot of trouble to create technical articles/faq threads to help out fellow members - it's really freakin annoying when people just ignore them.  :'(
-------------

Theres an article on error codes in the faq section...http://www.antrx.com/smf/index.php?topic=784.0

also, have you read this article about diagnosing an unstable idle?... http://www.antrx.com/tech/article.php?t=5567&a=noss
