i think its definitely hard for a ground to beat the prescence of being in the mcg, or telstra dome. nothing can beat a melbourneese crowd. ive been to the gabba, both melbourne grounds and adelaide, and nothing is like the atmosphere of the melbourne grounds..

lol just my opinion though

no way WACCA all tha way! atmosphere is HUUUGEE! so many fights, chants, groups, drunks its awesome fun :P:D

mmm, u musn't have been to the ADELAIDE OVAL HILL in front of the best scoreboard in Australia!

FIGHTS - DRUNKS - CHIIIIICCCCKKKKSSSSS  :o BEACH BALLS - INFLATEABLE POOLS and GROG within a 40m radius!!!

it is by far the best Ground in AUS ;)

but hey i cant knock the MCG or even the SCG - because to me they are great stadiums for ODI cricket. Oh sydney & Adelaide ahve the most picturesque sunsets.

meh - AUSTRALIAN CRICKET GROUNDS OWN ALL OVALS/ STADIUMS IN THE WORLD, thats all that matters ;)

fuckin awesome pics Resin!! well done!

Love the first pic, Gilly has been my favourite player for a long long time, and its bloody great to see him getting some runs! I bet you would of enjoyed his quickfire 88 on Sunday, I couldnt move on Sunday i was so hungover but at least I watched every ball of his innings  ;D

About 15 years ago when i was a little fella i was at the MCG with 90 000 fans on the hottest day in a long time (41 or so) to watch Australia win by 2 runs against NZ, was awesome  ;)

I've also been at a packed house at the gabba before and the view from the grandstands is awesome, BUT, the Gabba Hill was better. I had awesome times as a kid playing cricket out the back of the gabba hill amongst all the drunks!

Actually now i think of it I have been to the Gabba a bloody lot. Highlights being in 1992 i think when i had just moved from Geelong, sitting right behind the goals watching Gary Ablett kick lots of goals and remember thinking how friggen massive he was (Bears vs Geelong game, cats won), and maybe seeing Adam Dale for the Bulls (vs NSW, blues won) take a catch in the outfield that i dont think can ever be beaten!!
Watching South Africa beat Brazil in the soccer at a packed Gabba for the 2000 Olympics was good too, very good atmosphere, can't describe it, was just AUSTRALIAN   :)
Yes you could say im a bit of a sport nut hehe
2.0L 4 -------> 3.0L 6. Does this mean a 4.0L 8 next?? or back to a 2.0L......turbo!

mmm ill be there this friday --> got my tickets infront of me :)

one little question --> i thought the DSLR you would be able to get better depth of field in relation to the focus upon the player and lack of focus on the crowd in the background.

mmm, i think i photo had a hell blury bg --> jus tlove those photos ;)

nice work.

one little question --> i thought the DSLR you would be able to get better depth of field in relation to the focus upon the player and lack of focus on the crowd in the background.

nice work.

U can .....and in the first pic of gilly .....the crowd is less blurry .....Because i had a larger aperture number which increase depth of field .....but whn this is done u need to decrease shutter speed to allow for extra light. I also played around witht he iso rating aswell ...most of thouse i think were taken on either 400 or 800 iso. But remember the camera is fully zoomed on the 75 to 300 lens and i was trying to take picture of fast moving objects so u need a reasonbly fast shutter to catch things like balls and bats etc. Plus when u have the crown jumping around all the time it gets annoying ..........some came out blurry because either i hadnt focussed properly on the player or they were just too far away or it stated to get dark.

With the aperture u need a huge number like 22 and above to get the crowd starting to look like theyare in focus but they are a long way back from the players e.g the radius of a cricket field plus more cause we were on the closer side hehe

there were 4 too many run outs in the Aus innings, ok so martyn was run out through his own bad call, but the others were just stupid stuff ups.. very un-characteristic of the top order boys.

I also went, got a little burnt on the face because I didn't reapply sunscreen  ::)

I took a bit over 300 photos, didn't upload the proper cricket ones (a few shots of bowler running up, bowling and then the batsmen hitting the ball - usually a sequence of 7 or so pictures).

Hrm looks like photobucket didn't screw up the quality too much, good :)

symonds and ponting recovered it for the aussies, after 3/10 which is a lil more disgraceful than murali's 0/99... IMO

only the score after 50 overs matters.  personally,i quite enjoyed the hammering mulari took, definetly not as good a bowler against top teams.

i think it was 358  :P, its always good to see murali getting flogged about the park, i can see how he would ever compare to warnie, and i bet he can't text message either

haha yea. when i first saw it i was like shit he could miss out on the alan border medal again! but it wasnt so bad. But just imagine what Hayden wouldve been like after making 350 odd runs and a spectator coming up to him, he wouldve knocked the guy clean out.
