Guys
Whilst driving tonight, in a storm, my breaks gave way. I luckily made it to my mates place via the EXTREME use of the handbrake to find brake fuild pissing out from my front right guard.
I took the wheel off andd noticed a 1 cm gash in the brake line (rubber hose) between the disc and the steel part of the cars brake line (where in enters the engine). Its actually between the steel line, and where the brake clips onto or through the suspension.
It looks like it had broke from the inside out under the pressure.
Anyways, can i use any brake hose to fix this ?
I know ill be needing about 30cm of the line......from the steel hose, to the caliper itself.
Or will I have to buy a genuine Nissan item? Is this a part of the car , that is model specific or as i said, will any brake hose do? What about the joins at either end of the rubber hose?
Any help ASAP would be great, as I cant drive my car until then!
Thanx, Mitza
