89 ti pintara rev above 2500
« on: Sep 29, 2005, 04:36PM »
Can some one, put me on the right track please!!!  My u12 pintara has a problem of cutting out at 2500 rpm after the second start of the day, first start it is ok...but if you stop for fuel ect and restart it will cut out at 2500 rpm.  you can sometimes turn off the car on the run and clutch start it and that seems to rectify it and sometimes not.  Not a huge problem just annoying. One good thing I suppose is you get great fuel econmy as you dont over rev it!!!

Hey. Dont mean to over diagnose but that sounds like the coil or ign module... or heaven forbid your ECU itself

Please post the result

Thanks for your input camo, Its just a shitter to get to work so I'm in no hurry to fix the problem, I,m one of those wait till it dies then do something people. To ffourc.......mmmmmmmm you sound like a bit of a wanker don't you!!!!  well I am sure thats not the first nor last time you will hear that in your life. Basicaly if you have nothing constructive to say, I think the term I am looking for is "shut the fu*k up" I put the astrix there to keep ffourc busy for a day or two trying to figure out the missing letter.

ouch!,

but seriously, if you directed your energies into fixing your car(as opposed to -ve), it would probably be running properly by now.
