the lowest you can go is:

get a coke can and slide it under the lowest parts of you car, if it fits under then you are legal. 100mm is the rule.

pedders springs and shocks for $1000? err, im getting KONI shocks and KING SPRINGS for $1000.....

im sorry...

Joel.

The differance is in the price of labour. Ur pirce doesnt inculde labour to fit them. hes getting them fitted so has to pay for labour  ;D

Damn u people with contacts. Oh well the shits on now ;D and godamn i am happy with it. Oh yeah. It looks phat and the effect it has on the handling is bloody awesome. The shocks are about as harsh as the old buggered ones except for the fact that these ones hold the wheels on the road. Also i have no wheel vibration at all now and did i mention that it corners wickedly it feels so much more stable. As u may be able to tell I is happy

if u have a family car and arnt looking for amazing handling then pedders are fine. if your looking at sports then i wouldnt go them persoanlly. id stick to the brand like KYB, Koni or better yet Beilstein

By harsh i mean they are hard over bumps and stuff but ya gonna get that with harder suspension. As far as i am concerned my shit is pretty darn good but i havent driven anything with similiar setups i am making my comparisons with sigma's and VR commies so of course its gonna be better for to me.Its hard to findout how different the brands are coz most people generally havent tried numerous sorts on the same car. I have tonnes of grip now though, plant it in wet, in first and no wheelspin.......or i have a poor engine/gearbox/clutch/diff. Pedders are good enough for me though.

hmmm if u plant it in the wet and get no wheelspin im worried. Just cause u got harder suspension doesnt mean u should stop wheelspin in a straight line. Around corners it should handle better. Unless its due to the fact u have more pressuire pushing the tyre to the ground. still i would expect wheelspin in first in the wet.

suspension will help wheelspin, but only slightly. im surprised u cant get wheelspin of the line. im hoping it was merly an exageration to say that it grips well. u have a ca18de if im not mistaken? but in all honesty, even though i dislike pedders, they'll do the job. it will still be an improvement. put some whitine swaybars on the bitch and sheel handle even better

Swaybars still make a noticeable difference do they? Thats gotta be good do they stiffen ip up more going round corners or what? Will get them after i pay off debt and buy new gearbox e.g not for a while. I will try and get wheelspin again just to make sure ;D

Cheers people i am fair happy with it. If i wasnt so unco i would put up a similiar picture before the rims and suspension got put on. Where it looks a lot shittier. It doesnt scrape muchl either even with people in the back. The front wheel has only scraped once under heavy load through a corner over bump.

Now i really need about 3K to pay of the rest of the suspension debt and fix up the ol' grinding gearbox. It kills me when i see a mint silo manual for 3800 with stuff done to it when i think about how much i ahve forked out.  Meh thats life.

SLY-031 hope your as happy with your stuff as i am with mine. It will be interesting to hear how it goes.

a gearbox rebuild is around 700 bucks. Dude u dont even want to know what i have spent on my car. Ud be scared. Ive had head fuck after head fuck. Put it this way if i saved all my money that i have spent on my car i would have a nice r32. But hey its all part of the learning process.

i think  i9 might need to invest in some new suspension too in the rebuild.
