Replacing windscreen reservoir and pump
« on: Jul 4, 2012, 02:11PM »
Hey all,

I'm attempting to replace the Windscreen washer pump (and possibly tank) on a 1996 Nissan Bluebird. My issue comes in accessing the pump and tank. I have unscrewed the screws retaining the protective covering in the wheel-arch, however, there are pop clips that still hold it in that cannot be accessed from either the bonnet or wheel-arch. I have come to the conclusion that I will have to remove the driver side front panel (maybe not the driver side depending on your location, this car is a RHD).

I wanted to verify with you guys before I did this that this is the correct course of action.

Sincerely,

-James.

Don't remove the panel, remove the pop clips, they are much easier to replace than stuffing around removing a 1/4 panel.

Will do, but how are they removed? I assumed I need to apply pressure to the two tabs I imagine are at the other end, but I can't find any way to access the other end if the clip.
