Altima-Bluebird Compatibility
« on: Nov 12, 2007, 06:49PM »
Hi all,

Ive run a search which yielded little light upon my query so here goes.

If i get altima shock absorbers (shortened to go with shortened springs) will these be able to bolt into mu U13 Bluebird LX??
Also, Will a front swaybar bolt on from altima to bluebird.

Cheers all, Pete.

shocks and springs will be 100% fine (as long as they're for the u13 Altima :P).

Sway bar MAY be different due to the steering rack on the opposite side, I don't think it is but I can't say for sure (even if it is different you can get them through whiteline)

my shocks, Tokico, are for the altima. Infact rears are for the next gen Altima as they are a better shock overall then U13 version.
No problems fitting them so far, haven't done the rears yet. Been told 90% confirmed and they physically line up and photos lined up aswell.

Only difference has been ABS bracket included on Tokico which is missing from OEM.
Front sway bar like jellobello said the steering will be only difference.
Where did that flat part of my front sway bar go, jellobello ?

Where did that flat part of my front sway bar go, jellobello ?

I've been trying to remember :P

I think it was passenger side...

After a quick look on ebay i got this: Clicky
Looks like it doesn't have a flat bit at all! so I'd say it wouldn't fit. Rear would be fine though! (from what I've read it's better to upgrade the rear and leave the front stock anyway to help reduce under steer)

The flat part is on the left, so our passenger side. i check it on my car for ya

you can see it in the pic, above the short shifter box and on the right. Note it was wrong way around.

Tokico bolt on without a problem

They line up and are easy to install, just dont try and refit the strut damper, aka that big thing ontop of the strut under the black plastic cover
