A/c Compressor
« on: May 22, 2003, 02:00PM »
Ok, i think my A/C compressor's clutch is on the way out, when i turn it on it struggles to engage and tries multiple times and then fails and gives up.

Is it possible to just have the clutch replaced in the A/C compressor or is it that expensive that i may as well go and buy another one if it can be done at all?

Any suggestions on what i can do.

Thanks.

I just had exactly the same trouble with mine and i ended up having to replace the whole thing!  :P i had order a whole new compresser from which cost $550 through my dad but the genuine nissan one  had  rrp of around $1500  ??? i then had to have  the pullies exchanged as the ones that come on the unit  only had room for one pulley, so i had the pullies exchanged at an a/c place which cost $220 for brand new pulley and fitted

so $720 all up for new a/c  :'( it sux hey!
