SR & CA trannys
« on: Jun 21, 2006, 03:52AM »
I readed in an old topic that the SR and CA trannys are the same...the only thing that its different is the bellhousing....Its that true???
So...the CA20 (or CA18NS--in my case) tranny will fit the SR18DE engine??
If that is true...my U12 bluebird will have an increase in power 8)
But I have to be sure....if not...I will sale the U13
The bellhousing of an auto tranny is the same as a manual tranny?? (refering to SR engine)

Cheers

The bellhousing and gearbox casing are cast as one piece on U12s. You can't change bellhousings over on the gearbox.

Cast as one piece, wanna get your eye's checked. They are 2 piece.
Your car may be able to go faster.
But I can go any where. except into a garage, underground carpark, bridge...

2 sticks and manual locking hubs. have to get out to drive it around
Good old Nissan.

KA's are the shit. According to all the info on the site, they are better then sliced bread and thats saying something.

Okay. I must be  thinking of some other car. They are two-piece, even on the autos. :-[
