tinny noise when idling
« on: Apr 11, 2010, 06:24PM »
i have a nissan pintara trx
car wasnt started in around 6 months
and after starting it up (with a new battery)
seemed fine and drove ok
but is making a tinny type of tapping noise (as if somethings vibrating of the engine)
its coming near the alternator and extractors

dont think it the lifters making a tapping noise
as ive had an extreme example with my old trx
if anyone could help out id appreciate it thanks

Hi

Could be what I had and couldn't figure out. It ended up being my o2 sensor being a bit loose and vibrating when driving.
