rear shelf DISASTER!!!!!!

lol I own a 90 trx and was wondering for rear fill how everyone got their shelf speakers (if any) to clear the bootlid torsion bars in the boot, it is not a major issue as i am more worried on front stage and will b fitting 6.5 polyglass' very soon.. keep posted ill throw some pics up when i can.

If the speakers are hitting the bars in the boot, make a new parcel shelf out of 16mm mdf, or whatever thickness you need it to clear. Alternatively, you can buy/make mdf spacers, but they do look a bit  ???.

just make an MDF ring (size will depend on how much clearance your speakers need)

mount the mdf to the metal under the parcel shelf and you should be all sweet

yes was thinking of spacers although i wanted to keep the speakers ( which i dont have just ideas atm ) under the original speaker covers, was thinking to make spacers which lifts the whole original shelf higher, which means no more brake-light and ill have fun trying to sound deaden it...

Make yourself a new shelf out of MDF. Read this for all the info you need

If you wanna carpet it, autobarn sell automotive carpet, or just use normal carpet. I did and it came out alright.
