Speakers in rear door do fit .Pics included
« on: Jan 28, 2004, 10:46PM »
Heres a pic of my speakers i installed in my rear doors today their is a perfect spot fot a 4inch speaker with out any modifcaions to the door metal only have to modify the door skin by making a hole in it for the speaker. But i got 51/4s in their by making some very minor modifcations with a file. So heres the pic

looks fucken sweet man, i like. and yeah he's done good, speaker in doors are better than in the shelf. speakers in the shelf cause distortion if you have sub(s). Im doing pretty much the exact same thing!!

How much modification was required to fit 5 1/4's in?
and how much more would be required for 6 1/2's?

but good woork there beefy looks like quite a neat job.

reckon you could jam some 6 x 9s in there if you make a spacer on the outside of the panel?

hmmm interesting.. I would mount these 5 1/4 inch pioneers I have here, but I don't really want to put a hole in the carpet of the door.

Still, it's always good to know that it can be done quite easily.

well since i have like 12 months of my car being of the road due to my loss of licence i wasplaning on making full custom door panel with enlarged pods in the back to siut a set of clarion 6 x9's i have sitting here
and who says i dont have subs? i have 2 x 12 inch poineer 600watt subs in a custom made perspex box hiding in my boot .
the full installation isnt finshed yet but it will be by the time im back on the orad
then i will hopefullly running  my 2 12 inch poineers , 6 x 9's in the parcel shelf , and 6 x9s in the back doors and splits up front
i dont get any bass reverberation through my boot into my parceeled 6 x 9 , as they face into the cabin in a sealed box and the air doesnt get pushed against then
