Previous model number to this one?
« on: Nov 28, 2006, 04:15PM »
Hey folks,

My car got broken into today and the plebs stole the face plate to my cd player. Stupid me I didn't take any piccies to work out what the model is so that I can claim on insurance and/or get a new faceplate.

Can any of ou tell me what the model number is of the model PREVIOUS to this one-

It was a Pioneer detachable face 4x45W with buttons for volume and track instead of knobs.

First a Silver TRX, then a White TRX...whats next? Game Boy-Clear style TRX?

Have they got manuals on the site? You could look at the pictures in them to work out the model number.

How old was it?

That one in the pic is a DEH-P4750MP. (last year's model)

The one that looks almost identical to that but has no ridge around the outside of the two knobs is a DEH-P4650MP (2 years old)

This is a DEH-3750MP (last year's model)

You could also pull your unit out of the dash and have a look at the sticker on the top of it. There will be a model number there.

ah ha....thats a smart idea Jono. Thanks

Its quite an old unit but they were the most common pioneer one of the time. (probably a cheapish unit).

It came with my first trx which i bought in 2003. So pre december 03.

Ah, so probably around the x550 series.

The first number of the model denotes the price range of the unit.

e.g. out of the current units, DEH-1850 is the base model unit (~$120)
The DEH-P5850MP is a mid range unit, priced around $550
The DEH-P9850BT unit is the top of the range head unit (~$1000)

This is a DEH-3550MP
