Head Unit Dramas

I feel like such a noob for having to ask this but here goes....
   Bough a new head unit,just cause i felt like it 8)anyway,its a bit of a mess in the dash from my old install.Hooked up all speakers to new loom,connected ground,batt,ign, and bingo!Head unit turns on,i throw in a cd and its all systems go.Turn it off,and begin to screw fascia back into dash.get it all screwed in and suddenly head unit no worky.Just no power source.

Ive checked the fuse in the unit,fuses in box,re-checked all connections.And im stumped!!!!!!!!
Any ideas guys?

U might of blow it completly. Try just hooking it up to the battery and ground (with a fues ofcoarse) and see if it turns on.

get yourself a test light that you ground onto the chassis and probe wires with. Chances are a wire has earthed when you pushed it back in and buggered something up. I've had that happen to the constant wire on a car before and I couldn't find the fuse for it. So I had to run a new constant power.

Most cars have the constant power for the head unit running off the dome light or clock fuse.

hmm well that actually makes a lot of sense,cause now you mention it my clock isnt working anymore!! :D so i guess ive blown the clock fuse.
Is the fuse for the clock in the fuse box or inline?AAnyone know?

Roger that,i got off my fat arse and had a look.10amp fuse(electrical parts) on left hand side if anyone is interested.

Replaced the fuse,everything working perfectly.Thanks for the help guys!! :)

Probably a loose connection on a wire or a spare wire touching the area around the head unit and shorting it, other than that explanation, the fuse may have just shat itself for a totally unrelated reason.
