Title: Front Swaybars
Post by: Luke on Apr 6, 2011, 10:46PM
I rang whiteline today to see if they could make me a sway bar... they used to do them. Seems they throw out their jigs when they discontinue a item. Any ideas where I can get one without having to have one custom built?

Here is the issue I am having:

I see the problem you still have the front wheel on the ground, my car did the same thing, not sure if it still does after i put the coil overs in,

I believe you would eliminate the issue if you threw coilovers under her. i only ever noticed the 12 doing it (appart from one of the corners on corkskew which is super tight and not exactly flat) once i had no coils in the front and it sat less flat and body rolled  more. Coz i have a front sway bar and i picked up the same tyre off the ground in a emergency turning situation. Id be leaning towards coils more than front sway bar to solve the issue.

Need to send a sample to sydney... would be a few weeks wait I'd imagine, I got quoted 'roughly $200' for one, but I imagine it would cost less for more than one.

Man, my car's been sitting around doing nothing for 4 months until yesterday. Talk about bad timing. When I get a chance I'll have a look on fast to see if the u12 is the same as u13.

Thats annoying.. they should have one for an AWD U12 still on their list after we sent one last time. I have one on my car.

I forget the name of the company, but I can find out. They just need a sample of a stock one. Would be great to know if the U12 and 13 sway bars are the same... Viv, if you can take a U12 one off your car, I'll compare it to mine when I drop your brakes back.

I'm pretty sure I have a stock U12 AWD front bar around the back of my shed if you guys need it for whatever reason. I hope it has not been thrown out...
