The Code of Practice is for Approved Inspection Stations (AIS) to use when inspecting motor vehicles for the purposes of issuing an inspection certificate.

This document replaces the Approved Inspection Station Proprietor's Guide, commonly known as the Causes For Rejection. The Code is provided in three parts. Section 1 covers the Conduct of Approved Inspection Stations, Section 2 details Vehicle Inspection Guidelines and Section 3 has AIS Information Sheets.
