Car stutters at 2.5krpm, won't go faster
« on: May 5, 2009, 12:21AM »
Well, I have a strange problem, sometimes I am driving and suddenly the car starts stuttering like it is out of fuel once I hit 2500rpm. It does it in every gear, I can't go over that. But I can drive at a lower rpm with no issues. Then I stop the car, wait a sec then start it again and the problem is gone.

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before. It seems to me like it is an electrical problem as it fixes itself after I restart the car.

nothing.

Sounds like its going into limp home mode. Grab the service manual and follow the steps to do a diagnostics test and see what fault codes it shows. Fix the fault code and your problem will go away.

When I first built my trx I actually had this issue too, but it went away lol.
Don't let the opinions of the average man sway you. Dream, and he thinks you're crazy. Succeed, and he thinks you're lucky. Acquire wealth, and he thinks you're greedy. Pay no attention. He simply doesn't understand.

to be fair, it wouldn't be ANTRX if we stayed on topic.

and if someone wasn't cranky at Chr1s for something he said...

All I can say now is that I haven't had the problem in a few months so it seems like it has fixed itself. I didn't do anything to the car in that time either.
nothing.

And wouldn't you know it!

After an engine swap it's back.   ???

I checked and double checked everything when I put it back together and it was all fine, except for the AFM plug, had a bit of corrosion on a terminal, but I cleaned that off before I  plugged it back.
nothing.
