Chop up the headlight and get more flow hahaha jokes nath.. umm lets whack a really powerful fan infron of the car and then feel fron the inside of the engine bay, front bar etc where maximum airflow is coming through then make a ducting pipe up 2 the new airbox your gona buy that houses the pod.. just a though hahaha gona

if your serious about it,

find the high pressure zone on your car, either make a duct (cut a hole in ur bonnet depending if it's there) and have a high flowing pod sitting in aluminium cold air box.

there are 2 main high pressure zones on a car, and they arent in the middle of the bonnet. they are at the base of the windscreen and at the lowest part of the front of the car.

best option for n/a is probably down in the front bumper where you'd stick a set of foglights or i guess the intercooler is in the r34 (and others? i dont know)

i think having an intake there though, if it were just as high pressure, would lose the effects achieved by the higher pressure air with the heat from the radiator.. of course as your driving this wouldnt be an issue as much, but i dunno.

i guess i just dont like intakes near radiators.

I would say just buy some cheap Ebay one. They honestly don't make that much of a difference in HP, they are pretty much just for sound.

CAI's are also useful to stop minor pinging on boosted cars.
run a tube from the front bar to the airbox. if you're using a pod (Which, unshielded, would do more worse than good thanks to engine temps), make sure you have it boxed. If not boxed, have the CAI outlet facing directly to the pod.
Then again, run hard piping down to your front bar with the pod on the end.
