EOI: r32 4 pot calipers & custom 4 stud disks
« on: Dec 6, 2009, 09:48PM »
thinking of upgrading my brakes, so maybe on offer is a set of recently reco'd 4 pot r32 calipers & a pair of custom 4 stud (not a 5 studder redrilled to 4) slotted disks a touch over 10k old

calipers have been modified to take the full amount of disk (full 280mm) not machined down 6mm

everything included (pins, pin retainers & low dust pads still like new)

looking for $250 +p&h ...or free fitting for locals lol

local being between geelong & westgate  :P

mate, not having a go at you, but when I did my swap all those years ago, I remember there not being a lot of material in the bridge of the caliper to allow full fitment of a 280mm disc without sacrificing rigidity of the caliper, I preferred having rigid calipers to a 280mm disc. That's why I had mine turned down by 6mm.

SleepaTi, did you say before that you didn't notice much of a difference between these brakes and the stock U13 brakes?

being christmas time, cash is tight (which I never seem to think about until the date draws near!).  I might have to leave it for now mate.

from day to day driving theres little difference but under hard work (ie; like our last GOR cruise) is when the 4 pots pay themselves off

remember they will fit both U12 AND U13

This is bit off topic but if you can bolt the R32 brakes onto these cars that should mean the V Spec's Brembos should also fit right?

Think i need to do some searching  8)
What is the point of a signature, who REALLY reads it??

you would think so, the v spec has an alloy hub at the front and bigger disc's i have a hub at work i will measure the caliper spacing and offset, but you would think that it would fit.
