« on: Jul 18, 2006, 04:15PM »
Hi,
Does anyone have the factory CD radio pin layouts for the following cars.
N16 PULSAR
U13 BLUEBIRD
If not is there anywhere online that will list these diagrams.
Thanks

Use a test light to find the power wires, then get a AA or AAA battery, connect a foot long piece of speaker wire to either end of it and start probing the other pins. When you probe the pins for a speaker you will hear a popping noise coming from the speaker.

There won't be a ground in the factory wiring loom, you'll have to screw the head unit ground to a convenient piece of metal behind the dash.

If you have an electric aerial on the car connect the lead of the test light to the power wire and probe the remaining pins. When you probe the electric aerial pin the aerial will go up, and when you take the test light off that pin it will go down.

I got this out of the U13 Altima service manual, i assume its the same, i just did the probing like Jono stated, when i did mine.

Red = 12v
Blue = ACC
Brown/Red = Power antenna
Red/Blue and Red/Yellow = Illumination (for stock stereo, so comes from instrument lights)
Blue/Yellow = negative front left speaker
Blue/White = positive front left speaker
Brown/White = negative front right speaker
Brown = positive front right speaker
Green = negative rear left speaker
Red = positive rear left speaker
Pink = Negative rear right speaker
Blue = positive rear right speaker
