Excellent Luke!

I'm going to be selling off mine, I will go for one with the longer wastegate runner, unless I run an externally gated turbo.

So bottom line, we still haven't found a perfect match for an aftermarket dump pipe to suit the Attesa's.  So modifications include relocating the O2 sensor and shortening the internal exhaust pipe?  Aside from that will it be a direct fit to the stock exhaust system?

Budgie, you said you were going to be selling yours?  Have you sold it or still plan to?

I've since bought a GT2871RS which came with a much larger custom dump pipe.

I still have the smaller elbow dump pipe, which will be up for sale soon.

I put a full split dump pipe from AM performance on my car about 6 months ago. Here it is in my project thread

greetings,

if anyone is wondering why 'bluebird' has been quiet, it's because i purchased his beast from him a year or so ago.

haven't done much extra work to it yet, however about to take it in for a bit of an internal makeover.

i think i'm going to go with this expensive CES dump pipe and while i'm at it, bigger injectors and a cam/cam grind to match these improvements before the good old dynotuning.

so within the next month i'll be saving up 650 buckaroos. anyone else interested in giving this group buy thing a shot? any discount would help.

cheers.

650 gets the basic ces dump pipe. full description appears earlier in this thread.

that's the rrp. the company is located in qld. sabbadin is the local agent and the manufacturers do not want to undercut robert at sabbadin. it's so expensive, according to them, because a LOT of work goes into them. they claim that no other dump pipe manufactured in australia can reap the same gains.

i guess i could check ebay for internationally constructed gtir pipes, however there would be no way someone with as little expertise in this area as me could tell which ones are guns or duds, unless someone had a comparison chart of all possible pipes and output figures. i have to take peoples word. in general, i tend to believe that you get what you pay for, and i just hope this company is not greedy when it comes to mark-up.

when it comes to a job like this, i want the best, straight away.

CES is very good apparently, the GTiR owners love them.

G'day,

for everyone's information, the CES dump pipe fits with a minor modification: about an inch of pipe added-on to clear the sump.

yes, i forked-out all of that moula. plus I got the rest of the exhaust done in 3 inches,  injectors hi-flowed, an exeddy hd clutch, etc.

about 6 grand of over-capitalisation later, the dyno readout is about the same as it was when i bought it from 'bluebird'. life is grand.

AVO reckons their dyno just had a proper restoration and recalibration so it's readings are up to 18kw at the wheels lower than it used to read.

so their original recommendation for a larger dump pipe and bigger injectors didn't really pay off. their next one for a new fuel management and a bigger turbo will, hopefully. any ideas regarding these that will match the new dump pipe (to maintain relevance to the thread)?
