Title: SR20DET Upgrade
Post by: waldogg on Oct 21, 2013, 05:06PM
Hi all, been a while since posting here, I am wanting to know about upgrading my 1994 SR18DE ARX-L Bluebird to a SR20DET. I can pick an engine and other parts for reasonable price but i am wanting to know, Since my car is a FWD 4 Stage auto, would the transmission handle the power of the turbo and whats the best way to mount an intercooler without having to cut the front bumper (Cars look horrid like that) as i want to keep the stock look. Any advice is much appreciated.

Hey :) The motor that you are getting has or has not had a top mount on before!?! if it is like mine/The passenger intake manifold has 2 holes on passengers side then 2 holes towards drivers then 2 holes again towards driverside  then none on drivers side manifold IF have this intake manifold than u are in luck  :D AS this is same as mine and is a top mount manifold and can make a bit easier.Saying that its not really a drama as u can just use some flat plate and drill 2 adapt,Keep asking as it might take a bit  :) I bet there are threads here  ::) Perhaps asking for some pointers in the direction 2 look might also help as it took me a while 2 realize that these guys have done most everthing and some and are now enjoying the fruits of there labour ::) Don't fu,k up as I did with impatience and keep cool  8) if u are keen 2 keep the car as most come and go and others are here for the long hall and there projects are being done over years, :P .hang in look heaps & good luck as most here are geniuses with also trial and error ::) Cheers in Nissan,
