A TF Advance would most likely only have a 3.0, I believe that from TH onwards the 3.0 was still standard in the Executive model and the 3.5 in all models above that (Advance included).  The TJ range all came with 3.5 standard (like mine).  Anyway, power from the 3.0 is 147kW, and the 3.5 started life at 150kW, then jumped to 155kW (mine) with some models at 163kW, and finally the Ralliart at 180kW.

If that power isn't enough for you, rpw.com have created a twin turbo 3.5 Magna that is due at the Perth Autosalon shortly.

A 163kW model will cover 0-100 in 7 flat, and the quarter in about 15 flat.  The 155kw is not much slower.

TE Advance 3.0L has only 140kW, but in manual form Wheels tested it ages ago when it first came out and it surprised them with a 15 sec quarter, and a low 8 sec 0-100.

If its auto i thnk i have read they do a 8.9 secs to 100. My dad used to have a TF model 3.0L auto and i stopwatched his at 8.86sec 0-100

So in conclusion, yes i think you are right in thinking it will beat you, but if its auto, then maybe pretty close
2.0L 4 -------> 3.0L 6. Does this mean a 4.0L 8 next?? or back to a 2.0L......turbo!

We raced on burwood highway, i beat him by a bit - he has auto, not manual.
He reckons i got a bit of a roll happening before i took off so gotta do it again next time to be certain.
