U13 attesa oxygen sensor

Quote
the part is ex Japan $153.95 about 2-3 weeks
special order
The U13 SR20DET has a different O2 sensor than anything else p/n 226901E001

anyone know of a non-genuine one? or another model that'll work

Wouldn't they be the same as any other SR20DET Oxygen sensor?
If it is, Bosch make one....

exactly what I thought too,
but this was two different nissan dealerships telling me they are unique,
I won't believe them until someone from here tells me its true though :)

well im pritty sure all the oxygen sensors work the same iv herd of different sensors used on different cars when using unstandard dump pipes because of people buying a dump pipe with the wrong oxygen sensor plug size.

So maybe if you had a non standard dump pipe with a different thredded hole on it you could use a different one.

Try amcap/coventry's/repco? If you go to repco, they usually won't have import/rarer cars on the computer. My VR4 isn't on their computer stuff and I have to get them to check their product books for parts, as they usually have them.

me - um no the other guy said 125 +gst or something
them - trade price is $150 so i don't think you're right
me - go talk to that other bloke
them - oh your right, boss must have been feeling generous.

win for the consumer.
RRP is about 190 too just in case anyone wants to buy one

Also interested, mines been bung for a while now :P It's on the to-do list.

I came across an awesome illustration of the sensor a while ago... I'll try and find it again.

EDIT: found it, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v111/nzbluebird/instalation.gif however I'm not 100% sure if this is specific to the u13 attesa (although it was taken from bluebirdcarclub.co.nz) - it states the tread size is M 18x1.5.

$153, thats pretty cheap. I would have thought they would want $300 atleast.

I'd say nissan uses the same thread on all their o2 sensors. I've got a dump pipe that was designed for a T25/T28 turbo on a Silvia or something and it's the same thread as my U12 sensor.

you'd think so jono, but it's been confirmed that the u13 attesas seem to have a different thread to other nissans of the era (silvias etc.)

find a cheaper 3 wire o2 sensor off another car and get a new thread tapped into your manifold? good idea? Just a thought.

yeah would be good to find a cheaper and more readily available o2 sensor... dooesmtn matter on the thread as long as it works with the car. might pop into nissan and ask for an alternative

Post by: LUP15 on Oct 7, 2007, 03:55PM
ok searched fast and it seems like the o2 sensors are all the same across the sr20det platform (gtir and silvias) nissan fast number is 22690.

but yeah gonna go into nissan on mon and check to see and see if they suggest any aftermarket alternatives
Title: Re: oxygen sensor
Post by: JelloBello on Oct 7, 2007, 05:23PM
LUP15 just so you know - that number is a part code - as in all oxygen sensors will have the same part code because they are all oxygen sensors. To get the part number from fast you get a list of the parts you want numbers for then in the main window press F5 (or tools->p/n search).

e.g.

the part number for the u13 oxygen sensor is 22690-1E00 while the s13 is 22690-50F00, so they are different.

FAST can be quite a confusing program, but once you get the hang of it - it's awesome :D
