Fuel economy U13 Attessa

sounds like a stupid thread, just interested to see what fuel consumption you guys are gietting from your SR20DET's

mine is stock apart from exhaust, using about 14L/100km, thats with the occasional squirt here and there.
nearly as bad as my HSV GTS i owned it was about 20L/100km

not sure if it needs a tune, plugs etc.. bought the car only 2 weeks ago.
thought the exhaust would better the economy plus im trying to drive it off boost.

i get about 350kms to 55l's but mine is pretty modified at the moment and far from an optimum tune so i cant expect any better

yeh i think I've seen about 500k's once from a full tank, but i never fill up full anymore cause it leaks out the fuel cap (note to self, buy new fuel cap)

Best ever fuel econ in my CA18DET bluey is 9.4ltr to 100km.

I average 12-15 litres per 100km.

The CA's and SR's love the juice.

yeah true that! my u13 attessa (auto) munchs the fuel hard. My wife takes my car due to it having aircon and i take the shitty applause and she is constantly filling up the u13 and the daihatsu lasts 2 weeks.

yes, i filled it up and went for a cruise up the coast and got 480km that was with a bit of enthusiastic driving here and there.

thats blloody good in my books for such a juice guzzling motor...

hmm this is gonna sound like absolute bullshit, but anyway...........on the highway i've gotten close to 700km off a tank. it was fairly sedate (i.e. not a lot of spirited overtaking or anything), was basically townsville->cairns->townsville (filled up on the way back).

around town it's nothing like that. also that was back when i first got it, probably gone to shit by now. around town i probably get about 350km off a tank.

u guys checked the o2 sensor is working alright? on the highway it should be nice and efficient.

I'll believe you on the 700K's. I bought my car in sydney and drove it back to SA. I got 700K's to a tank, taking it easy cos it was the first day I had it.
