Boost Cut

hi guys just wonderin if any one knows wat the boost cut is set at in a stock u13 atessa??? cause my car keeps cuttin out just after i hit boost and was wonderin if it had anything to do with boost....or erven fuel. If anyone has any ideas about this itd be great thanks

it cuts out? as in stalling? or splutters?  stock boost on the SR is 7psi, unless you have a bleed valve or similar, but boost wont "cut" it will boost till you hit redline, so id say it'd be something different

Are you running a boost guage?

Sounds fuel related to me.  Fuel pump, FPR, injectors... anything funny going on with those items?

yeah it splutters, i just put in a boost gauge the other day and it says im running around 8 psi. but im not sure how to tell if its something with trhefuel so i couldnt say.

id agree with budge and say fuel, maybe reset the ecu and see what happens?

ok and how exactly does one reset the ecu?? and i noticed tonight that itll boost, then splutter, then either come back on or just have no boost till i change gears....

How old is your fuel filter? That could be blocked or partially blocked causing not enough fuel once you hit boost.

Not sure with your car but i think most ecus can be reset by leaving the battery disconnected overnight.

I too was also going to suggest that you check and or replace your fuel filter.
One of my friends has a R33 GTSt and his car did exactly what you are describing Beejay. It turned out that the fuel filter was partially blocked. It ran fine until it hit boost and would then starve of fuel.

Try a known good MAF. This can also often be a problem.
