Gearbox Problems
« on: Apr 7, 2006, 09:15PM »
Hey guys just a quick question, my car is in the mechanics gettin a gearbox rebuild...but the problem is they cant find the right bearings.....well so they tell me. Would this be true? Are they really that hard to find?....oh i got a 93 u13 attesa. And if they are that hard to get any idea where to get them from so i can tell the mech.??

Any help would be great

nope, they should be able to get the parts, even from nissan.....

there are plenty of the parts around, just sounds like a lazy mechanic out for more money, i'd go to a gearbox specialist buddy

if the bearings you are talking about are roller bearings of some description (Being in a gearbox, i would assume that they are), CBC Bearings, Gardner Bearings or any company that specialises in bearings should be able to source them for you.
You just need to know the width and the internal and external diameters of the bearing you need.
