Fuel Reg U13 ATTESA
« on: Jun 23, 2012, 06:55PM »
Hey guys,

Bit of an odd one. Firstly I am getting a Nistune installed on monday, and curtrently I have a  SARD rising rate fuel reg (RRFR) which the guy said wont tune properley with a nistune, is this correct?

Secondly I have been trying to work out a stock one ot put back in however I cannot for the life of me figure out what a stock fuel reg would look like/how it would hook up. The confusion comes from a guy who worked in nissan parts telling me that the fuel reg should be the same as a N14 SSS Pulsar SR20DE. At the wreckers however I can only find an N14 Pulsar Q SR20 which seems to have quite an odd set up which could not possibly work on my current inlet plenum.

I am begining to think the original fuel system is still there just not plumbed properley. Maybe you guys couls shed some light on it for me, and what would really be helpful is is someone could take some pics of the stock ststem and post them up for me.

My current set up:

So as a rough guide as its hard to see:
-The rising rate fuel reg (RRFR) has 3 ports, one on the bottom which seems to dissapear into the firewall, one in the middle which goes to the bottom of what I think is the old fuel reg, and one at the top which has a hose on it which since I have owned the car has gone nowhere.
-The fuel fiter has 2 ports, bottom one dissapears into the firewall, and the top one seems to attatch at one side of the fuel rail but is only plumbed into circulation at the opposite end from the "old fuel reg"
-What I think is the old reg has I think 3 ports, one in the bottom which goes to the middle RRFR port, one presumably into the fuel rail which cannot be seen but must be there, and a 3rd at the top not plugged in to anything (I think its vacuum and meant to be in the plenum..)

Diagram of how I think it currently works and how I thnk it should work:

and just to wou know what I'm talking about on the Pulsar Q this is what it looks like:

Anyway if someone could let me know if I am right or way off here (and why) it would be much appreciated!

Well I did it and all seemes fine and dandy! Win!

I also managed to find the vacuum port which was on the side of the throttle body so that is also now correctly plugged in.
