removing the engine head
« on: Oct 26, 2005, 01:29PM »
Hey all,

im having a bit of trouble removing the head from my 1990 TRX. ive romoved all hoses and bolts that i can see, except for a little bolt hidden behind the drivers side engine mount which i am finding impossible to access.

Is there some trick to removing the head, is there some hidden bolts or am i just missing something.

Cheers

all the info you need to take off the rocker cover can be found in the article milford wrote to paint his cover...
which can be found here -> http://www.antrx.com/tech/article.php?t=6482&a=milford&v=t

Its the head mate, not the rocker cover  :P

That bolt is a prick. Its the top of the timing case, ander the coolant inlet if I remember right. Get a little 10mm open ender spanner and make pissy little turns with it. It may be stuck tight, so a lot of swearing may be necessary.

Have you pulled off the coolant hose? That may be in the way
