Oil in intake
«

I replaced the leads and plugs on my corsair today and while I was checking the air filter I noticed that there was engine oil on the inside of the intake thingy
(near the airflow meter).
Is this bad news ?
Call me a noob but afaik it shouldn't be there :S

you have a breather line that goes from your rocker cover to your intake. clean up the oil & check it later in the week to see if it's built up again. if so you may be getting a bit of blowthrough which will send excessive oil fumes through the line.

if its before the air flow meter then it could be an over-oiled filter, if its after it is more than likely the return line for the breather.
