Craig Lowndes is looking good from Sandown, and Murph is always there to, so they are my tips for Ford and Holden

If the new V8 Skyline only goes out to the U.S, the Supercars will not allow the Skyline to compete in the series.  Hopefully the V8 Skyline will come out in Oz & NZ.

nah, as long as Ford and Holden are still selling cars in Aus, they will NEVER let any jap teams into the V8's. They want the bogan car market all to themselves. That bald retard Tony Cochrane wouldn't let any other manufacturers in either. AVESCO is rolling in money...why change?

Mitsubishi tried to enter the v8 a few years ago but the managering directors wanted them to pay them a huge sum of money and jump through a few hoops. Id love to see another manufacture in v8 supercars, it would really spice it up. Oh and holden will win for sure!!!!!!!!!! :P

Toyota a well keen, after all, they have a V8 engine almost compatible with the current rules in the Tundra (NASCAR Craftsman truck series).

I did a market research thing for them about 6 months back and if Toyota are successful in a) winning public interest and b) gettig AVESCO to accept a manufacturer other than Ford or Holden, then you can be pretty sure they'll be competitive.

I see there was a prang already yesterday, up at Forrest Corner, one of the Tickford Fords gave the engine a nice bashing.

If its a wettish race, expect some carnage! ;D

I love it when it rains on the mountain but stays dry on the bottom half of the track.
Especially when the tyres are starting to wear away.
What teams have done well at practice?  Any times so far?

Its only a racetrack for 1 week of the year vector. Seems pretty stupid to restrict the kangaroos just for one week. Besides, its their time to get on the tv!!  ;D

even more of reason to put up a temporary fence, poor mr kangaroo doesnt know what time of year it is i really dont know shit about bathurst so its not a race track?, surely theres a way of stopping them getting onto the track i know it happens every day in the real world but this isnt the real world, its an organised event.

the whole bathurst track is actually public bathurst road for the other 51 weeks of the year. There are houses inside the track. It would be pretty hard to put temporary fence that is kangaroo proof along the whole of Conrod Straight which is where the majority of forrest/scrub is.

I really dont see whats so good about watching cars go round a track if you want to entertaining motor sport watch the WRC (not the ARC its crap), so much better when the cars are all different! and its not just big stupid v8 family cars going round a track.

who watched the carrera cup race?? now theres a nice stack!

"Wright Patton Shakespeare Carrera Cup debutant Shannon O’Brien (Glenfords Tool Centres / Hitachi) created spectacular vision with a double flip and 360 degree spin and slide through The Chase on lap two. The incident occurred after O’Brien lost grip through The Chase at a speed in excess of 200kph"

WHAT im saying is that you cant prevent crap like this, its a country road, would be a total waste of money to save a couple of Kangaroos.

YESS what a stack in a couple of hundred km/h corner!!!

well Skaife won it, deserved to win it from the parts that I saw. MASSIVE crasg involving Ambrose and Murphy, they went at it hammer and tongs when they both got out of their cars too, was quite funny to watch.

Good on Team Dodo as well, quite a small team who did a bloody good job to come second.

Thats Bathurst run and won for another year. I'm hoping to fly over to see it next year!

Lowndes' ... one to beat this year.

Lownes is on fire

Heh, hindsight is a beautiful thing. Lowndes had enough bad luck to fill his 'huge V8 family car' today. Who didn't see the race?

i watched from lap 1 untill the end. except when i was flicking to see the cricekt scores. CARN the Aussies!!!

was a good race, along with the F1's after it. OMG best F1 races in ages with Kimi undertaking the winning move on the last lap.

I was waiting for Ambrose to slop Murph one when they got out their cars and started arguing!!!!

dam skaife, should have let TEAM DODO and RICHARDS win!!

Well........ what a good race

Murph and Ambrose were close, Lowdnes disappoints again and the underdog nearly won.
Skaifes a master (and has the money), Todd Kelly drove well and deserved a win at Bathurst.

Oh yeah and Holden wins again!

The wind chill was -5 and air temp was 10, so u can imagine.. and knowing bathurst you have 4 seasons in 1 day x 100 times  ;D.

Well it started off good, lownes caining like you all saw, too busy trying to warm myself up from the fukin wind lol, then i see lownes' car go flying past with no windows ?!!?! bahahaha and i thought I was cold !, god i can't imagine doing an odd 300 k's down conrod straight like that :o..

The bogans on the hill were gold as usual haha, this drunk bloke with "show us your tits" on his shirt was pissed as a fart standing in the middle of the road opening his jacket with his fat gut :P, i got a pic i'll post it up later ( i should of recorded damnit ><), That part was gold when he did it to the lady copper though ;) because 1 drunken bogan, with 50 behind him + girl on road = mountain full of roars and cheers - "show us ur tits !"
