Where did you find your 12V source from? You cant use the battery because thats too much and very erratic (14.7v average and then higher when charging) and I dont like the idea of using a source that has additional load. Maybe make up your own 12v regulator?  ???

The battery. The coil is receiving what is supposed to be battery voltage anyway.

holy shit where do i start so many question!!...............

I dont think i would take the body dedener from under the car, cause i think the road noise would shit me to tears and it would also start to rust sooner,to me its about 10 kgs worth of needed wait

OCTANE booster ppffftttt i know for a fact that it is useless, cause before i had the pintara trx i had a blue bird trx, i was at tafe when this same argument came up. At the time and had use of a dyno (well the teach did). the first few runs avg 105hp at the wheels, then we put in NULON pro strenght octane booster in 1/2 tank of fuel and avg 103hp and that was playing with the ignitiong timing.

i know this is one example only but to me it was proof enough.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! The only chemical additve that actually works is nitrous oxide

My com ratio is 9.5:1
How much for the throttle body work, i have seen this done on one of the HIGH OCTANE dvds, it was a toyota MR2 and it only made if i remember right 6kw and it was fairly expensive, although ive never actually got a quote.

Can you please tell me what the f#ck is CDI ignition ive been working on cars since i was 16(24now) and never heard of it, my bad maybe :-[

DEATHPLAZA
I will probably do a complete rebuild in a year or two i want the fastest N/A U12TRX in QLD which at the moment i have know idea what that time currently is, if anyone knows tell me, im thinkin its in the 13sec bracket maybe 14s or maybe 10s ahh shit i dunno

I meant the sound deadener in the interior of the car, i haven't noticed any increased road noise from removing it.

From the head work i did about 3 years ago, i think my CR came out to about the same, if not around 9.2:1.

CDI: Capacitive Discharge Ignition, ie Crane HI-6, MSD 6A.

I'd probably say at a guess between $200-250 for the throttle enlargement, basically you'd send me your throttle body and i'd send it back with the work done, so all you'd have to do is re-install it on the plenum. I'll do my own throttle body first to work out how much labour is involved, and to make sure i get it to seal correctly as to avoid any idling problems.

You will have to tell me what power increase it made, that would be good, cheers

and the body deadner i must of misinterpreted what you said, the inside is probably a good idea for reducing weight, i bet its a painstaking job but probably worth it for a tenth quicker time.

To be honest it really wasn't difficult removing it after the dry ice had hardened it so it was that brittle that it just shatter after a blow from a hammer.

With the throttle body enlargement, the best i'll be able to do with verifying power increases is do back to back runs with my Gtech Pro RR.

hey Bungs

weght reduction?

what spare wheel, door trims back seat is that what your talking about? can i run down the strip with no doors? lol yeah right

i have to try some runs without my 17in chromies on it (ill put the 14s back on) and ill get rid of the big ass scoop i have aswell i swear that scoop is costing me a fair bit cause as ive said before my pb was 15.79sec and that was before the chip and afm, though i was getting perfect starts and good shifts, if i remember right i think i was doing 2.2sec 60 ft times to get the 15.7

so with that in mind im a little bit annoyed that i went fractionally slower with more power.

Get rid of your airconditioner and hoses aswell if you want better performance, and you will get rid of a few kilos too.

Using consult and Nissan Data Scan you can get a lot more accurate time compared with a stopwatch ;)

Octane booster works a treat when BP 'runs out' of 98 octane in WA (over here that's the ONLY fuel place that sells 98) and your car is tuned to run 98 octane and you only have 96 octane fuel to purchase.

Grab a consult cable from this bloke on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissan-Infiniti-USB-CONSULT-I-Diagnostic-Board-Cable_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33596QQihZ011QQitemZ320032335391QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Then buy nissandatascan software from www.nissandatascan.com  (the first software I have bought in 5 years, fantastic piece of work and worth every cent of the $30).

I'm interested on one too... depending on wether or not it'll work with my ca20, might go have a poke around and see if there's a plug on the ECU for it (that's where it plugs in right?)

Mayb we can get a mini-group buy and try to haggle down the price a bit? :D
