from http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/ka24de-ka24e/131098-ultimate-ka24e-cam-thread.html

take the specs of the cam you want and have it ground locally. strongly recommend using wade cams and using a billet.

Interesting info.
What is the significance of the "Ignition Break Points" table?

They look like they are only for full load mate; not really of any great significance.

for everyone else's FYI, ignore the flow rates 0.5" and over, 99% of those cams don't exceed 0.45" of lift. personally, I would not recommend running a cam that results in 0.5" or more lift with standard rocker arms / lifters; simple fact is that the wear between the cam lobe and the rocker wiper pad will increase due to the high spring open pressures at those lifts.

large lift cams like that really need rolller type rockers to reduce cam lobe wear.

Start a new thread for DE cams, we give no fucks for twin cam rubbish here.

I know this thread is dated, but I just wanted to clear up a few things.

The breakpoints were used for Engine Analyzer Pro to mimic the ignition at WOT. More of a personal reference for me (or anyone using EAPro) than anything.

I'm not sure why you would ignore the flow rates above 0.5". The stock 240sx cam (0.409 lift) has a total valve lift (cam lift * rocker ratio = total valve lift) of  0.581".

0.409 * 1.422:1 = 0.581 Total valve lift.

As far as wear and roller rockers go, I'd be all for a pair of those. In the mean time tho, I'll stick to my tried and true Mobil 1 15w-50.

Spot on - I assumed with those numbers that it was valve lift as measured at the valve, and not at the cam. I just checked the U12 FSM and it does mention the standard SOHC cam having 0.409" lift at the cam.
