problem with headdeck( dvd player) wires

ok sorry for the stupid question but i dont know that much bout head decks... ok ive just bought a new dvd player for my car but it doesnt have the normal wiring then my old head deck, instead of the bare wiring its got rca connections do i just need a amp for this???? its got on back... aux in L, aux in R, subwoofer out,rear L and R out, front L and R out all of these rca's.... and the normal A/V rca plugs.. any help would be great.

maybe you need to get some RCA wires strip the cover and join the wires to your existing wiring?
If only the KA24E was KA24ET!!

no speaker wires??, means it has no internal amplification, which answers one question - yes, u will need an amp, use the RCA OUT's to hook the amp up, not the INPUTs  ;)

Most of the time you need a head-deck to run a DVD player in a car. Im guessing yours is not the all in one deal.

nah its not a all in one... in dash dvd player with 10' roofmount screen.

its just a cheapo no name i think... Schneider..... but it plays cd,cdr,cdrw,dvd,dvdr,dvdrw,vcd,svcd,wma,mp3,hdcd and kodak pic cd. its going in this weekend. it should look good. has any1 else got a dvd setup??

just found out what i need.... all i need is a FM modulator. or an amp.

If your head unit has line-in, u should just be running the line out of the dvd player into that...

i've finished installing the dvd player and sceen.. and it looks awsome!! and after that i didnt even need anywires at all. i just put the dvd player on and just put the radio on the headdeck and i had sound. i'll be putting up pics soon.
