Fuel pisses from injectors in CA20
« on: Apr 29, 2009, 09:39AM »
Yeah its just a little drip until you rotate the injector a little and then pressure releases out with a hiss and fuel floods out...F**ked injectors? or F**ked seals? yeah I'm pretty concerned about that yeah, because it seems like alot of fuel you know
so...my car is pretty dirty...

where is it leaking from? the injector body? or where the injector meets the fuel rail?

if it's the injector body, injector is fucked, throw it out and fit a replacement.
if it's where the injector meets the fuel rail, it's 95% chance it's a stuffed o-ring. they are easy enough to replace.

Probably $5-10 for genuine seals.

Anywhere that cleans fuel injectors should have some.

yeah i fixed it just then, no leaks at all, was like a 20min job ay then o-rings were like $16 for the upper and lowers, so like $2 for each o-ring...not the cheapest around but meh.... lol, runs great now...before it was stalling randomly, misfiring etc...now its pretty smooth & i don't have the fear of the car bursting into flames in the back of my mind  :P
so...my car is pretty dirty...
